Spring bear hunting

How many of you guys out there that bait bear use the camtraker or similar devices to help you judge your bears and the times there coming in. I have one and have used it to get pictures of deer and elk before bowhunting has come around, but was always worried if I put it around a bait sight that the bears would rip it to shreds. If you have any experiences with this I would like to hear about it.

Unfortunately the tree huggers outlawed spring season here in Co, now they are all wondering what in the hell to do because there are so many running down main street Durango and hardly anyone (anyone I know at least) hunts them in the fall.
