Spring Turkey Hunt

Hi, my daughter is living in Logan, and she is looking into Spring Turkey hunting. I am an Arizona resident and will not be hunting, just helping out. I am wondering if the Spring Turkey hunting is any good up in the Logan area and is it an easy tag to draw and is it a good tag to have? Do you recommend early or late spring hunting? The way I read the regulation is that there are two hunts, a draw hunt and an over the counter hunt. Thank you, any input would be helpful! I will be out hunting for the next week, so if I do not get back to you, it is because I am away from my computer.

Lots of turkeys up in Cache County and you can buy a tag over the counter. Lots of private land, but definitely some public spots that hold turkeys in the spring. Most of the spots will be hike in type spots, so bring your boots and trekking poles!

Draw tags get first crack and then youth hunters and then over the counter.

Hunted up there a few times. It was as good as I have found. best of luck. Draw is 1st hunt, but often need 2-3 points to draw.

Thank you for the replies. She put in for the hunt we will see if she gets drawn. I am hoping if she draws there are turkeys in Cache National forest. I don’t like dealing with private property issues we really don’t have any in Arizona.
