My dad (who has never shot an elk before) drew the starkey any bull tag. I drew the spike only hunt on my second choice. I was wanting some feedback from those of you who have hunted this unit of where we could start looking for elk (not looking for anyone's top spot). I was wanting to go up there on the Fourth of July weekend to start looking. Any info would be great.
What size of elk should he hold out for. And also, is there a reasonable chance of shooting a spike as far as my tag goes?.
