Anybody have any experience with the Steiner Predators? I borrowed a pair of 10X42 last fall and liked them, I was thinking about checking out the 12X50's.

I have pair of the 8x30 predator pro's. They are a very good binocular. I purchased them in 2001, and they have been a valuable tool, on all of my hunts since. They have stood up to some pretty tough abuse. I am extremely pleased with them.

I have an older pair of Steiner Predators 10x42 and I love them. I believe Steiner is calling them the Merlins now. The style looks just like my Predators. Great binos for a reasonable price. No other manufacturer makes the eye cups like these that I have ever seen before.

My son just picked up a new pair. We traded in his old 12X50(Safari's) for the new Predators. They are very clear, but we haven't had a chance to field test them yet. They look like they will be finding game for us for a long time. He's much better at finding game than I am, so I stay pretty close to him most of the time.
