This ram made it through the season with out being found, maybe next year. What do you think he will go? I now he is a shooter, just curious on you thoughts.

Dang, looks like he is getting ready to kick some butt.

I wont even guess, I am always wrong. However, if you tell me where he is I will shoot him next year and measure him for you. :)

No problem his exact location is in that place none of us ever looked this year :)

i would say 28" to 29". looks like u were really close when u took this pick. is it a game cam?

Hard to guess. I'm surprised that with that much curl in his horns he still has some space between them. The curl tells me he's a 30-incher, but the space tells me he's 25". I'll split the difference and go 27.5"... ;-)

And what's with that fold of skin hanging down around his mouth and nostrils? I don't think I've seen anything like that before.

FLANAGAN-Weigh in on this one...... That space has me wondering but those curls are damn good......

Thanks all for your input!

This ram has me scratching my head on what he may go, I thought about the space between the horns to and don't know if it is truly that wide or just some long winter hair. Also I haven't seen that much white between them on any of the sheep I have had my hands on and the curl I tighter then most. This sheep is in a fringe area and not in the normal herds that are hunted. Hope to keep our eye on him and be able to answer the questions on the ground.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the space is just emphasized as it is white. That sucker has great tips. I think he'll hit 30+.

Guys don't get hung up on that space between the horns.I've seen quite a few big-28"+ rams with alot of space between his horns. There are three things that you should also be looking at. The fold of skin around his muzzle, the rings on his horns(I can count 8 including his lamb tips) and the long hair between his beard and chaps. All those are signs of a mature ram. FWIW I think he's every bit of 29" and probly bigger, but that ain't sayin much!!!!

This ram is amazing to see! I count eight rings, wrinkled nose, and from what we see in the picture he has awesome hair. His hook is something else, my guess is in the 29"+ range. Dont let that gap between the horns be a factor, I shot a ram four years ago that is 31 4/8" x 29 3/4 " and he had gap between his horns much like this ram does. I recently seen pictures of a ram that they are saying will be the new WR SCI Free Ranging Aoudad that measures 37" 14 5/8", I know your sitting there reading this and saying there is no way, trust me its true. He was harvested in Marfa TX.
