Swarovski warranty

I've been looking for a used set of binos for a while now. I've heard from every one that a 30 year warranty applies to the second owner. Meaning the lifetime warranty is not transferrable, but there is a 30yr one that would cover me, the second owner. I was curious if this was the case, so I emailed Swarovski. Guess what! No warranty at all! I knew it was too good to be true. Has anyone else confirmed this? Looks like I'll be saving up for a new set, bummer.

That sounds correct to me for the Swarovski. However, I am pretty sure that the Zeiss warantee is fully transferable to second, third, etc. owners.
