Sweet Jerky Recipes

I'm looking for a jerky recipe that is sweeter than the norm but not overly sweet. I added some brown sugar to the last batch but it's barely noticable so I need more or maybe some honey or maybe something else? Anyone have one they use that you like?

I'm more of a black pepper fan myself, and can't stand the taste of maple in anything except pancakes and waffles. But my buddy makes sweet jerky all the time, and his are good and sweet. He got hooked on the Bridgford brand of Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ jerky, and started making his own. The combination of real honey and the BBQ sauce in the marinade takes it over the top.

Stuff is available in Walmart, Big Lots, and several other stores as well as order on-line from Amazon. Try it and see if that's the taste you're looking for.
