People have been putting the dovetail mounts on big bores for decades and the seem to work just fine. I know they can't be any stronger or has the last many decades of big bores with scopes around the world proven that wrong? Tally is a waste of money IMO. You pay dearly for the same thing you can get for a half the price of less...

Save your money and put it into your scope.
