I have been a fan of Glen Campbell for nearly 55 years. My first album.of Glen's was Hey Little One. Jimmy Webb wrote several of his biggest hits and collaborated with him on many. I found this duet of them today. Glen was a guitar virtuoso and Jimmy a piano genius. Jimmy played the full keyboard on this. I got chills multiplying, lol.

Never got into Glen.
I grew up more of a Led Zepplin guy so his mellow tone did nothing for me. Like going to church and hearing the choir.

By 11 I liked 3 Dog Night. By the time I was 14 it was Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper , Blue Oyster Cult and Jethro Tull. I have liked all genres of music in my life though.

She was pretty sporty when she was about 18. ;)

I remember her performing in a teddy for what I want to say was a George Jones birthday party. I am a fan evermore no matter how many miles of peter she’s seen.

What about Johnny Rivers at the same time.....
Glen Campbell Southern Nights
I didnt listen to Johnny Rivers or don't remember. My Dad would take me to town when he needed parts for the farm equipment . It was always a time to hear some country tunes and go get a milkshake. It was from 5 to 9 years old. After that he went into construction and we didn't get to ride around very often unless we went fishing.

The coolest thing Glenn Campbell ever did was Tanya Tucker.
Don't hate on me for this....

Back when Miss TT was still hot looking....

I was at work one day when a young guy who used to work with me called and asked if I could give his aunt a tour of TOPGUN.

Sure, when will she be here. Well she was at the front gate, so I escorted her aboard and gave her the tour. She was really, really nice and had a good sense of humor.

So, I told her that Tanya Tucker was in my will. Of course this woman asked why. I told her that when I die, I want to be cremated and my ashes placed into Tanya Tucker's feminine hygiene applicator because that was the only way I was going to get in there.

This woman laughed so hard she started choking.

After the tour was over, she gave me her business card. Turns out she was number two at the largest recording studio in Nashville. And, TT was under contract to them at the time.

A few weeks later I got an autographed picture of TT.

His version of 'O Holy Night' is an awesome Christmas song; my favorite.
