Me too man, I hope one of my bros draw an elk tag so I can tag along.

I would be more excited if there was a major issue and the draw was delayed at least another 2 weeks! The wait has been so exciting that I don't want it to end.

I got the game and fish email earlier and almost fainted.
I think they are enjoying the fact our hearts drop every time we get an email from them :D

it was the new mexico wildlife federation that sent that one . they are in cahoots man sending us Emails this time of year. they never send any emails like this volume throughout the rest of the year

Big-game hunting application results available Wednesday

SANTA FE ? Hunters who applied for New Mexico big-game licenses can look up their draw results Wednesday.

Applicants can view their draw results beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday from their accounts online at wildlife.state.nm.us.

The Department will send email messages to successful applicants, informing them that they can print out receipts and licenses from their online account. Unsuccessful applicants will begin receiving license-fee refunds this week.

Draw results also will be available Wednesday by telephone by calling the department's toll-free information line, (888) 248-6866.

The draw was for deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, oryx, ibex, javelina and Barbary sheep for the 2016-17 seasons.

For more information about the big-game license draw, please visit the department website or call (888) 248-6866.

True. It just dashes hopes of results being posted early or Tuesday at midnight. But yeah, still don't know when the emails will be sent or refunds showing up on CC. Press release didn't specify when either one of those would happen. I'm pathetic. lol

I got two, but didn't get the third saying that stuff would come out Wednesday.
 
I've been lucky with my elk tags the last 5 years... went 4-5 but I'm hoping my wife gets the tag this year. She's has never drawn a elk tag. Heres to 2016!!!

Time to admit it I have a problem. I am getting married on sat 4/30 and im more dam nervous about the draw results than the wedding . I guess its a good thing Im not nervous about tying the knot though. I got me a keeper
 
I don't have control/power over said "button"... I ask this little ball my daughter got for Christmas and so far it,s been accurate...You guys are funny in the sense that another guy would risk employment to satisfy someone they don't and will never know...
 
to be clear i never asked you to risk anything . I never would we all just want to know. But if memory serves me right.... im not sure why you hinted at early results cause last year we got emails around 10 am day of so that is killing my hope for anything today . but you did say wed be happy soooo i have a sliver of hope on that too

I'm glad you found a keeper, I've always been more of a catch and release kind of guy my self! Although I did find a keeper a few years back as well. The key to a good marriage is to treat her like your other trophies. Show her off to your friends, brag about her and by proud of her! Sure there may be bigger trophies in the field with bigger racks, but that is the one you got so smile and keep her mounted on the wall!

This shows up on my application page when I select the year 2016. It's enough to get the heart racing! Of course, it probably doesn't mean a thing since I got the message last week about owing the other half for elk as well and that's not green. Someone posted a pic on the NM Fish and Wildlife page on Facebook of another applicant that had the same thing (NOT the NMDGF page on Facebook).

I'm retired. 26 years Air Force. Just hope this holds true! I drew antelope the last 3 straight years, so lady luck has been pretty nice to me lol!

I believe the only backdoor that worked this year was for military applications. I bet you drew, but i'm sure it will be a long night for you. I know i wouldn't be able to sleep.
 
Congrats! Is this atleast one confirmation that the veteran Backdoor is accurate? It showed you owed for the bhs tag last week correct ?
 
It did show that! It also showed I owed towards a cow tag, but nothing on that for me. At the moment, my "I don't care meter" is in the red for elk LOL!!!!

Yup hunt of a lifetime.Not to long ago NM only gave 1 desert tag.You must be living right.Congrats on seeing what 99.7% of us will never see.

Game license Backdoor also now working, wasn't working last week. Won't let my wife add game license, let's me add, both requested refunds...
 
What time are the results posted? I looked on their website and all it says is April 27th. I have been reading on here that the results are posted at 10 am. How do you know this? Won't they be posted at midnight because their website says April 27th?

There is a press release on the main page of the website.
 
Maybe this means I drew VV!?? It was our first choice this year.

And I'm not a vet but a guy on my application is, if that means anything.
