Greetings to all & congratulations to those who drew a Kaibab tag this year. Against the odds as a NR, I drew a 12A archery tag this year (2nd yr in a row). I'm pumped!
During the past few years I've offered to provide some help to 12AW hunters and quite a few of you have asked me to share some pointers about the Kaibab. I've been there with a few hunters and have seen them have some great success. I hope that some of my advice has been useful.
I first hunted there in 1971 and have hunted the Kaibab many times with bow & rifle. I'm 63 so my best years are probably behind me, but now that I'm retired I just can't get enough of the Kaibab (I live about 3 hrs away from Jacob Lake). I've said before that I welcome any opportunity to share some of what I've learned over the years with others. I plan to be on the Kaibab this year during the archery hunt (of course!) and both rifle hunts. If you'd like a little extra help, please send me a message (or PM if you like). I'm not a guide or outfitter, just someone who likes to help. There are others who probably know more about the 'Bab then me, & there are several guides who do a great job on the Kaibab.
Good luck to all!
