Those of you that have Bow Hunted the Fishlake Unit

How have the deer looked there this year? I have not had the time I wished I had to get down there and look around yet so I thought I would ask what you have seen.

It's the shits just like it has been for years. I was down there hunting for 10 days on the bow hunt and never saw anything worth shooting.

Yep, fishlake ain't nothing special. Hunted that unit exclusively for over 25 years, 15 years of new road construction and tons of wheeler trails hasn't done that unit any favors. I always laugh when the hunt forcast and magazines give fishlake positive reviews as one of the better units in the state, obviously those writers haven't spent much time on that mountain. Quality deer, and elk are few and far between. We have since moved on to better units. To bad that is a neat area.
