So, Donald overstated the size of his building by 20,000 square feet--same mistake he made while defending his manhood after Rubio noticed his tiny hands! Are there any other contenders for the most pathetic lie Trump ever told?

“I can declassify, just be thinking about it.” Referring to his imagined ability to de-classify the classified documents he hoarded after leaving office.

What’s even dumber is people believed he could do that.

He says all sorts of stuff that's certainly and obviously false, knowing that his followers have removed themselves from any voice that will tell them differently. For example, he says repeatedly that the Presidential Records Act allowed him to keep documents in Florida after he lost the election. That is EXACTLY OPPOSITE of what the PRA really says.

He did the same thing on the Ukraine phone call. He repeatedly said it was a, "Perfect Call" and claimed he never said what was exactly in the transcript. He would tell his followers to "Read the transcripts," knowing that they wouldn't ever do it... if they did, they would've seen the accusations against him were true.

The smartest thing he ever did was convince his followers to only listen to him and his mouthpieces and to attack anybody that questions him as unamerican, deep state, socialist, globalist, pedophile, etc... He bred them into blind followers who sought to destroy dissent. It's very dangerous.

I’m not a fan of Trump, but he was never paid by Ukraine, Russia, and China. If my choice is only between Trump and the totally corrupt Biden, then it has to be Trump, anyone but Biden. Beyond being corrupt, the weak senile fool is destroying the country.

I never said Trump was paid by them, though he did try to withhold aid to Ukraine in exchange for political dirt on a rival. And his son-in-law was paid $2B by Saudi Arabia. And Ivanka was granted dozens of expedited patents by China after Trump became president.

Trying to say Biden is corrupt and Trump isn't is simply not a defensible position. Vote third party if you don't like either of them, because continuing to support our broken political system isn't working for any of us.

I look at when I was better off. And it hasn’t been in the last couple years. I don’t really like trump but I really dislike Biden. I was be amazed if we don’t find ourselves in a war within the year. I just hope it’s not a legit ww3.

We need a competent leader in the worst possible way not another 4 years from an aging soap opera game show host or a decrepit socialist directed by his Obama handlers.

"Liked".... everything DJT does is his desire to be liked & idolized. If you like him he likes you. If you don't lick his boots you're trash & get thrown under the bus. I thought Kayleigh McEnany was a solid press secretary that worked her ass off to advance his administration... nope under the bus. The same goes with all but two of his 44+ former cabinet officials. Yes things were better under Trump much better.... but.

Why anyone thinks that an almost 80 year old man who will be a lame duck on day one & can only serve 4 years is somehow a good choice is mind boggling. Who is going to want to work for him? What is he going to be able to get done for the American people when many in congress and much of the public can't stand him. If he miraculously makes it, we'll get a bunch of executive orders that can be reversed on day one or will be challenged in court. His approval among Republicans used to be in the 90's, it's now barely above 50%. Trump is ahead of Biden on every single metric by a large margin except one. As bad as Biden is on every single domestic & foreign policy issue, he is still ahead of Trump among the most important issue....likely voters. It's simple math, more people hate Trump than hate Biden. He can win the primary but his chances in the general are lousy.

This is what Trump was talking about on Saturday when Israel was under attack. Hannibal Lecter. This is Trump.

Biden is nearly brain-dead, but at least has the sense to surround himself with competent people. Trump, on the other hand, did his best to drive anyone competent from their positions simply because they had the balls to disagree with him. The trouble with Biden is not his age, but rather his policies. And if he becomes too old to see these through, then I count that as a blessing--and look forward to the day when a better administration corrects his mistakes. The trouble with Trump IS Trump. He cannot get anything done either here in the US or overseas where Presidential action matters most. Where he does become involved, he typically makes things worse--not because his intentions are bad, but because he is supremely gullible and incompetent. What kind of President makes nice with Putin and Kim while simultaneously bad-mouthing the US military and giving away its secrets in order to make himself look important? The man is a child. In the end, Biden in a coma may be better than Trump on his best day, and the shame of it is that we do not need to settle for either.

And I am still having a hard time deciding which is Trump's most pathetic lie. If it is not the one about his tiny junk and hands, then perhaps it was the one about the width of his ass. Dude needs a double-wide golf cart! Why didn't the police in Georgia measure his weight themselves, if they needed it? What kind of law enforcement agency simply asks a perp to provide his own vital statistics without confirmation?

Clarification: I liked Trumps policies & think they were much better than the complete havoc that Biden is currently infliciting..... until you compare Trump's Covid policy.

In my view Trumps covid policy is the most totalitarian & perhaps the single dumbest policy to ever come out of a chief executive in our nations history. He locked down the country/economy and deferred all decisions to Fauci/Birx. Many knew this was a huge mistake and it proved to be completely ineffective. He eventually hired Scott Atlas on his Covid team and then didn't listen to him at all - and continued to defer all decisions back to Fauci/Birx. Millions of Americans permanently lost their jobs/businesses/livelihoods... while big corporations/big pharma flourished & were deemed "essential" while small business was declared "non-essential"

Of course Biden continued with the totalitarian example that Trump set. Govt. forced Vax was all the rage in the military, hospitals, countless businesses & schools that did remain open. Schools were shut down & many children were forced to vax/mask - another incredibly destructive mistake where our children will pay the price for a generation or more. All policies & recommendations that Trump could have pushed back on if he truly believed in the Constitution, freedom & individual liberty. Trump's argument is that he left it up to the states & federalism but he certainly kicked open the door with dynamite and he pushed back hard on anyone that didn't follow his direction or that of his administration.

Trump to this day doesn't think he gets enough credit for his experimental vaccine or his lockdown policy. There is no indication that he is even remotely reflective or apologetic for his destructive policies and has given no indication that if we had another pandemic he wouldn't lock down again. Another pandemic & similar lock down would end this country.

The states that pushed back & opened up early got trashed and bad mouthed by Trump. DeSantis won his election by nearly 20 points & Kemp by 7 points. He trashed them both for opening up early. Trashed them both prior to their elections. Kemp beat the Trump backed Perdue in the primary by 50 points. His down ballot record on candidates he backed is horrendous. No reason to think anything will change that trend or that any red wave will emerge from Trump backed candidates. He lost to a vegetable. Ushered in another one in Fetterman by backing Oz. Very few Trump backed candidates won in 18, 20, & 22. Trump backed Daniel Cameron is currently losing to the Kentucky governor by 15 points. The election is in less than a month. Trump is anything but a kingmaker and anyone running would be wise to distance themselves from him.

Trump added roughly 8 trillion dollars to the debt in 4 years. Roughly the same as Obama in 8 years. It's almost like he's a liberal Democrat on many issues. Which he was until he decided to run for President.

Interesting how the WHAT of the phone call, was true. As I did read the transcripts, he knew what was going on in Ukraine, the laundering of tax money back to the Bidens via Ukraine.

Luckily, he's the only politician who doesn't toe the line in truth, but he did little to stop spending, which lie or not was a catastrophe.

Name one.

Kamala Harris? Pete Buttigieg? Karrine Jean Pierre? Anthony Blinken? Jennifer Granholm? Janet Yellen?

Amazing how a guy worried about lies, then compares Biden to anyone.

Born on a Jewish, Dominican neighborhood, next to cornpop where he grew up a civil rights fighter who went to free Mandela?

Come on man, Biden dropped out of president race for plagarizing. Which was shocking being as how he was on double scholarship and at the top of his class in law school. Amazing when you realize he wife was killed by a drunk driver, and later his house was burnt down via lightening strike. Tara Reid anyone?

Every dude ever lies about the size of his junk. We all lie about weight. Short dudes lie about height. We all lie about our athleticism. Never met a golfer who told the truth.

Trump didn't stop spending. He allowed Fauci to run the gov because he's a germaphobe. He didn't lock up Hillary(he should of started the trend of lawfare). Those were his 3 biggest ,"lies".

But, he's too old. So I agree, shouldn't be president.

I would compare the Senor Advisors selected by both since these are the people that have the greatest influence over his daily decisions. Trump choose Ivanka, Jared and Rudi. Biden selected Mike Donilan, Ron Klain, and O'Malley Dillon. if those names seem less familiar, it is because they were more than television personalities.

That said, while I would compare the mistakes of both men, I have no interests in defending either. Biden is also either a liar to too delusional to serve as President, and Dems would also be wise to move on. The biggest disappointment, for me, over the past few years has been observing the contortions that the two tribes are willing to subject themselves to in order to defend their bad decisions. The two strongest candidates for both parties are arguably the worst two candidates for the whole, and neither cares because America, for them, is all about them.

Biden chose no one. Biden was chosen. Obama cut the deal. And Susan Rice was placed in Bidens admin to run it.

Yellen was an Obsmaite. Blinken is. None of the powerbrokers in the Biden Whitehouse were chosen by Biden. He was the most compromised candidate, meaning the easiest to control.

We aren't where we are by accident. It's part of a plan, one laid out by Obama years ago.

It's also why there is a shadow candidate, Newsome. Can you remember ever a party in power, having a backup?

Doesn't excuse trumps big mouth, but pretending Biden is anything but a figurehead, is asinine. You wouldnt let your dad, in the same shape as Biden, drive a car, or live in his own. He was diminished 4 years ago. He's gotten progressively worse.

Trump's getting ripped for this yesterday. Previously praised Xi as being very smart for ruling China with an iron fist, repeats it again. Hezbollah is smart for attacking Israel? Why is it people have to figure out how to parse Trumps words & figure out what he actually meant to say on almost every single issue, every time he speaks?

No big deal, just Trumps own words being used as Iranian regime propaganda against Israel. Is there a rake that Trump won't step on?

How is he wrong?

Despite all the security, electric fences, etc, etc, a few drones defeated the fence, and raided Israel.

Are they stupid? How arrogant are westerners, especially American politicians who wrongly believe they are superior?

I remember buildings coming down here, not via nukes, or advanced fighter jets. Just a box cutter and a airliner. Genius in it simplicity. So simple, the geniuses in our defenses, couldn't comprehend it.

So Trump overstated his square footage with tge largest banks in the world, they sent no one to estimate, he repaid tgebloqns, the banks aren't filing lawsuits, and the victim is who exactly?

A private transaction with a multinational bank is affecting which person in NY?

Not that hard to understand. If lender (banks) set terms of loans, and make more or less money depending on those set terms. If an applicant lies on their application to get better terms, the "victim" is the lender. Makes NO difference if the loans were paid off or not. The terms were better for the borrower, so the bank made less money on the loans than they would have otherwise (with accurate financial disclosure information provided by borrower).

Just because the "victim" in this case is a large bank, does not mean that this was a victimless crime. ;)

Regarding the bank sending someone to estimate??? Ummm.... You think banks (or any other institution) has the resources to do that in all cases?? If the borrower submits AND attests that the information on the loan application is accurate, the ownness is NOT on the lender to validate that statement is accurate.

Yes. Yes, banks have entire assessment divisions. Go try to refinance your house. And YES the owners is entirely on the bank to do due diligence. NO ONE gets a dime from a bank unless the BANK approves it. The risk is always to the lender. That's the ENTIRE reason for interest, and either default insurance, or bonding.

Again, walk into your bank, tell them your house is 20k square feet and ask for a loan. See how that goes.

Second. The entire meltdown in 08' was homeowners lying on apps to get mortgages, combined with banks being forced by gov to turn a blind eye. They hid bad loans, because THEY KNEW THEY WERE BAD.Wage inflation, property inflation, etc. Show me a single applicant taken to CIVIL trial by NY.

Why is not one bank suing? The answer is obvious

Probably not, but why give Iran ammunition to use against an ally. Also - every dumb thing Trump says he has to know will also be used against him. Why keep inserting foot in mouth

Hilarious that you're naive enough to believe Iran "needs" ammunition. Who do you think funds this?

I'm in banking, and you're wrong (OK, maybe not entirely wrong, but definitely not entirely right... lol).

The ownness is absolutely NOT entirely on the bank from an end to end process/perspective. They own the end decision on whether to loan the money or not, but that does not mean you can LIE on business credit applications. There is a loan application for a reason; If the applicant knowingly submits and attests to false information on the application, they are entering into 'business fraud' territory. (I don't make the laws, man. It IS the legal definition of fraud whether you think big banks always & must validate and measure square footage on each and every real estate loan or not.)

This statement shows me you don't sorta understand but don't fully understand: "And YES the owners is entirely on the bank to do due diligence. NO ONE gets a dime from a bank unless the BANK approves it. The risk is always to the lender. That's the ENTIRE reason for interest, and either default insurance, or bonding."
Obviously, a business won't get a dime from the bank unless the BANK approves it. Duh..... Can you not see though, that what is in question is the falsification of the loan application document?? IF the bank approves based on false info and makes less money because of it, they have been defrauded. ;) (Again, I don't make the laws. They are what they are, and they are clear.)

"Again, walk into your bank, tell them your house is 20k square feet and ask for a loan. See how that goes."
I know exactly how that would go. If I provide accurate and true information on the application they will approve it based on that information and possibly a site inspection (or not). If I provide fraudulent information and they discover it, they will NOT approve my loan. Also, they will possibly refer the situation to the authorities if they see fit. So what?

Your comments on the 08 meltdown show me that you don't fully understand that situation either because it was WAY deeper than applicants lying on loans and banks "being forced by the government to turn a blind eye...". Either way though, that situation has absolutely nothing to do with the Trump business(s) lying on business loan docs, so has zero relevance to this debate.

The guy is a scumbag crook/grifter, and the chickens are coming home to roost. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Naive to point out Trump says dumb stuff? If Talib or Aoc said the same, many would call them terrorists. Yes I know who funds this crap. It would be nice to one day not elect or install regimes that hate America. No I don't think Trump hates America

My comments on 08 are dead on. See, I was on the construction side. We watched for years, 20 year olds buying $500k houses on jobs at Walmart. They knew the appreciation was fast enough that they could 2nd mortgage, or refinance before the note was due.

As a guy that refinanced from 7.34% to 3.25%, with a stop in the middle, I've not yet not paid an appraiser.

Firstly, Trump keeps saying his alleged business fraud crime is victimless, but if that were true then he wouldn't have lied in the first place... he did it for more advantageous terms.

________________

Secondly, if I attempt to shoot somebody, it can be a crime. There doesn't have to be blood drawn (a victim) for it to be unlawful.

________________

Thirdly, Trump lied on loan docs, which is a crime whether he repaid the loan or not.

Hunter Biden lied on firearm docs, which is a crime whether he used the gun unlawfully or not.

The crime is falsifying the document, you don't need to prove there was a "victim" for it to be unlawful.

Um, that’s pretty sound logic there.

How you gonna claim Hunter Biden committed a crime, which he undoubtedly did, and say Trump didn’t?

Trumps intent is undeniable, as is his benefit. Don’t even need to comment on Hunter, he’s not running for president….

And I really don’t give a s*** what Hunter did bc he’s not the president or running for it. Obviously he’s not a role model, even the president knows that.

You think the Trump kids and in-laws are angles???? Seems like there’s some shady s*** that happened in NY for years. What a joke of a comparison.

Didn't Hunter just have the gun charge dropped? And that was AFTER the DOJ was trying to sneak in future immunity for all crimes in a plea bargain? Thanks for making the point about how lawfare is being used.

Second. When the prosecutor is on tape in several instances in campaign speeches saying her goal was to get Trump, it kinda seems like "legal" doesn't matter?

Third: As a business owner, I'm sure you've been 100% truthful in all you paperwork and TAX filings. As all buisnesses, except trumps, are if course

Well, for starters, this isn't in CRIMINAL COURT. It's in Civil Court, purposely of course as Civil Court has a lot lower standard of proof.

Yes, Trumps intent was to gain favorable loan conditions. And the banks wholeheartedly gave them to him.
And if you think for a second developers don't get good terms, or over inflate to get them, nationwide, then your either naive, or willfully ignorant. You won't drive past a single housing development, or commercial building today, where that's not the case. And, banks on the flip side, do the opposite.

As has been, and keeps being said, this isn't even a dispute between parties. This is simply a prosecutor using lawfare to attack a political enemy.

The goal with these stupid charges, the classified docs being an actual charge, is simply to use lawfare to hit an opponent financially hopi g to cripple his campaign.

If Trump wasn't running, none of this happens, and, we'd be talking about how Desantis rapes little girls, or purposely killed old folks, or how he uses gators as murder agents.

The "what ifs" aren't even useful, because we lived through the Clintons, who reside coincidentally in NY, yet somehow escaped legal scrutiny?.

As an normal American with 401K, etc. I am the victim, and I, like others who were bilked, would prefer to have earned more money on my investment than these banks demanded from Mr. Trump. Unfortunately for their investors, banks do not chase after lost earnings of this sort. Unfortunately for Trump, the state of New Jersey does. Defending the little guy is the best purpose of government.

Well, Republicans have complained since the election about the success of the Dems when it comes to advancing their political agenda. That alone demonstrates that the advice that Biden has received is sound from the perspective of those who elected him. You and I may not like much of what Biden has done, but the fact that he has got it done demonstrates that he has had competent advice. And the ONLY reason he managed to do so is because he ran against a liar, cheat and tantrum-throwing child. And those who defended his behavior are ultimately responsible for our loss, as well as for the destruction of the real Republican Party.

Giuliani made exactly the same sort of statements when he ran in New York. His entire platform was to clean up organized crime, and the voters considered him a hero. So long as a prosecutor acts within the law, then why would anyone care about his methods? And no one who supports the law could take issue with his or her motives. On the other hand, you have suggested that ALL people cheat, so perhaps you do not understand why those who do not are pissed when others do.

You aren't naive enough to believe that. I read your posts, you're not dumb.

Your 401k isn't with a bank. It's tied to bonds or the stock market.

I just gave you credit, perhaps I spoke to soon.

I have yet to say Trump didn't do it, my point is simply so does EVERYONE else.

Your pissed because a bank made a private transaction? And were PAID BACK IN WHOLE? How does that affect you?

You paying your car off doesn't affect me.

Or should I be pissed my new truck is at 7% and your is at 4%?

Hell, if this is the game, Trump should sue Leticia James for not prosecuting crime, which devalues his property.

You TRULY want the government combing through YOUR private transactions? That's your standard? Or it's just the standard for people you don't like?

I agree with a portion of what you said, but you keep saying everybody does it; committing some sort of fraud to get better terms on loans. That isn't true, EVERYBODY doesn't do it. I don't do it, maybe I'm stupid, but I don't want to inherit risks associated with that. AND, when you commit fraud on the level that he did, for years, you're eventually gonna get some attention. He's not a victim.

Yep, politics is playing a role in this and of course if Desantis was the front-runner we'd be hearing more negative things about him. There's plenty of dirt being thrown around on candidates on both sides. This isn't an issue where ONLY Republicans get picked on by the press, although, admittedly, there's certainly more left leaning channels than right. Pick what you want to pay attention too, maybe even read both sides.

Speaking of lawfare, what do you think Trump plans to do if he wins? This is in no way is suggesting that I don't think the Clinton's or the Biden's also engaged in activity that is deserving of legal scrutiny. However, Comer, etc. has been after Biden for sometime, sofar, he doesn't have too much to show for it. Maybe the Clintons/Biden's are just better and smarter at hiding it than the Trump family, that wouldn't be too hard to believe would it?

Bottom line, I think Republicans lose (again) with Trump.....there's just too many legitimate problems voters have with him.

I disagree with your premise that everyone cheats and that makes it OK. That manner of thinking goes a long way toward explaining what is wrong with America today, and it is certainly not a conservative value that my Republican Party would have condoned.

As for fraud, it is the bank's investors who lose. Sure, the CEO still carts away his enormous salary at the end of the day, but the stockholders (including those who own 401Ks that carry stocks in that bank) will earn less as a result of cheats who defraud the bank and cut into its profit margin. So, yes, as a stockholder, I would be pissed if my bank provided a 4% loan to a client who should have paid 7%. Even assuming he pays it off, there is still less money in my pocket and more risk on my shoulders. For investors, this is not a victimless crime. And don't be surprised if taxpayers have to step in to rescue the failed industry because the risks were understated. And so we lose, again...

And this in order that Trump can save millions in his pursuit of billions? Or so Joe Blow can save 3% on his welfare truck?

As for elected officials, they absolutely should be sued or cast of out office if their negligence results in losses. Unfortunately, there are laws to protect such people, as we see with Trump, Meadows, etc. when they claim that they acted within the duty of their office on January 6.

As for government combing through my life, I would undoubtedly find it a hassle, but am not the least concerned about what they would find. I already assume that all of my transactions are public, as they appear on my credit cards, bank statements, etc. I collect my salary, pay my taxes, and compensate those I employ as law requires--and this is how I believe we should ALL behave.

"Fraud" is an interesting word.

Is it fraud when eminate domain is used to grab private property at bottom barrel prices?

Is it fraud for the government to recline, or restrictive zoning to control prices?

Is it fraud to use rent controls?

What Trump DIDN'T DO was lock up Hillary, despite pikes of evidence of illegality. So what he would do, is what is being done now.

Yes, tge libs are much better at hiding corruption. Don't forget, the libs impeached Trump for pursuing Bidens corruption in Ukraine. The CIA created Russiagate which the media pushed for years. So yeah. When the institution/swamp/omniparty are dirty, they have lots of friends.

Trumps no genius. He's a handgrenade with a big mouth and bright lights. The DC folks don't appreciate lights or pr so they are retaliating

Everyone cheats. It's not OK. But not everyone is charged. And that's exactly the point.

These charges come from actions when he was a private citizen(and Dem donor), just coincidence of course the charges come as he runs for president?

If your bank makes bad loans, and isnt a good steward of investor funds, ITS THE BANK LEADERSHIP you pursue, not the borrower. If the bank didn't do due diligence it's on them, not the borrower.

Further, the banks that are failing, are not because of corporate borrowers, it's because of rate increases as fast pace.

You know, fraud committed by the government to cover bad management.

If your business is of any size, we both know there are ways to cheat, ways to hide income, ways to run private through the buisness, ways to hide salaries, etc. I have no interest in publically discussing it, but stop with the straightforward bs.

Stupid for not taking advantage? Nope, you are doing the right thing. I have to laugh at self-described "patriots" who claim to love democracy yet care nothing for law and order. They demand that others respect their freedom, yet feel no similar obligation. They say they want to play the game, yet cannot accept their losses along with their wins.

In the end, the principled may lose, but that does not make them stupid--just as our military veterans are not "suckers" for standing on principle rather than succumbing to self-interest. Selfish advantages never last, and short-term gains that defeat established principles of justice inevitably backfire, to the detriment of all. Anyone who pays attention to the most failed nations across this planet understands this. In the end, the truly stupid are those who fail to anticipate the consequences and settle for short-term gain over principled behavior.

Didn't Hunter just have the gun charge dropped? And that was AFTER the DOJ was trying to sneak in future immunity for all crimes in a plea bargain? Thanks for making the point about how lawfare is being used.
Yet again, you have wrong information and spread Fake News online.

The gun possession charge was dropped on concerns that it is unconstitutional based on a recent Appeals Court ruling.

The "false statement on a firearm purchase application" and "transporting a firearm across state lines" charges remain.

Wise up.

Even if I agreed with the premise that "everyone cheats" on their legal documents (which I do not, given that I never do), then the principled approach to this concern would be to discuss how we might bring other cheaters to justice, along with Mr. Trump, rather than start down the road of providing "most favored cheater" status to those we prefer to protect from prosecution or civil charges. I hope all such cheats go the way of Martha Stewart and cool their heels in prison.

As for a poorly run financial institution, we do have the right to file civil (or even criminal charges, where law provides) to protect our interests. We saw this when trustees defending the interests of shareholders defrauded by Bernie Madoff sued Swiss bank claiming that they had enabled his Ponzi scheme. Regardless, any loan applicant is also subject to penalties if he knowingly submits inaccurate financial information. That conservatives would even debate this would seem silly in any environment excluding Donald J Trump. That Trump would use this claim as the basis of his defense is pathetic and absurd.

Turn off the MSNBC.

Bidens lawyer claiming it's unconstitutional DOES NOT mean that it is.

The charge got dropped as 3 new charges were filed.

You really can Google AP NEWS.

I notice you did t try to touch the immunity deal?. It's ok, cherry pick onward

I agree, when do the charges start falling on libs?

Oh, that's right, they don't. Either justice is blind, or there isn't justice. But justice don't start in 2023, in NY.

I feel much, much better with a successful developer as President than a life long politician compromised to several foreign enemies after so obviously taking millions in bribes....as President...

Just a really good saver and coupon clipper I guess

You agree? It does not appear that you do, considering that you continuously argue for consequences for one person or group rather than consequences for all.

In any event, there are as many conservative prosecutors and judges in this country as there are liberals. We have had as many years under a Republican-controlled White House and Congress recently as we have under Democrat-controlled. Both sides have leveled charges at the other, but the thing about charges is that they only stick when evidence exists to support them. If you believe the innuendo of commentators on MSNBC or Fox, all of whom will admit (when pressed) that their job is to ask questions rather than present facts, over the word of those charged with seeking justice and willing to swear on the bible to do so, then you will never be content with our Constitutional system of justice.

I am with you. And so are 218 Republicans in the House. Unfortunately, none have found a convincing smoking gun to demonstrate that he has broken any laws. Perhaps that will come, but that search, in the mean time, should not prohibit justice from being upheld where it can.

Your willfully naive.

Or you don't care.

You are going to tell me, in NY, there are as many conservatives as libs? In DC?

If "evidence sticks"

You have to be CHARGED before evidence sticks. CHARGES DONT GET FILED ON LIBS.

30,000 emails, smashed phones, and bleach bit.

What was the charge? Oh, that's right, "no reasonable prosecutor..... "

Grow up. This ain't Mayberry.

Who's gonna CHARGE HIM? THE LIB AG? The D senate going to impeach him?

My gawd.

Yeah. Won't happen. Libs play to win, Republicans just want invites to DC parties.

Where was the smoking gun evidence with Russia gate? Oh, that's right, it didn't happen.

And which lib got fired? Peter Strok. A mid level bureaucrat. Ain't justice grand?

Republicans are like battered women.

They take the abuse, take the beatings and think "if I just be nicer, if we just shut up, of I just cut out our own legs", the libs will notice and stop beating me.

Then, they get beat again, and double down on the "it's me"

And OJ Simpson is guilty as Hell. I am not defending the justice system except to say that there is no better, anywhere.

That said, I would be interested to learn how you would improve upon it. The list, so far, suggests that you would 1) disallow justice in NY, even when the citizens of that state are the primary victims, 2) excuse all popular crimes from prosecution, 3) ignore the decisions of any jury of 12 who do not find in favor of the defendants you support and against those you do not, even when they unanimously agree after having been presented data and arguments that you have not.

What is your solution? Standing with your hands on your hips and demanding that Trump be accountable only to MAGA is not going to happen.

Not the Republicans I remember. But it is, as you say, a completely different party today.

When a bully smacks you in the face you have 2 options. Run. It fight.

The abuse ends, when the libs get tired of being politically prosecuted. It ends when R states charge so many libs with bullshit, that lib donors scream for it to end.

Or.

The libs come arrest YOU at a school board meeting, or Catholic church.

No doubt the Dems will not impeach him, but the House should still pursue the investigation. After all, who is to say that the Senate will not be controlled by R's in 2024? But the fact that many of the Republicans in the House will not support the investigation indicates they think the case is weak, and they may not want to embarrass themselves if they view the case as politically motivated.

Weak like calling Zelensky pushing him to rat out Biden?

Or hookers pissing on a bed in Russia?

Play to win or go home.

So, Donald overstated the size of his building by 20,000 square feet--same mistake he made while defending his manhood after Rubio noticed his tiny hands! Are there any other contenders for the most pathetic lie Trump ever told?
I’m sure he lied so he could pay an extra 20,000 square feet in NYC commercial property taxes. Makes perfect sense……. if you’re a Democrat, because you believe the rich don’t pay their fair share. Guess the rich did this time.

Well, that's the beauty of it! Even as he overstated the value of his properties to qualify for lower rates on loans, he then also understated income on properties when it came to taxes and so paid less. And, of course, no one else is clever enough to think of such a thing, so his chances of getting caught are minimal. Well, almost... You do realize that the Trump Organization has already been found guilty of this fraud, right?

In NY, by a single judge. The smiling, wanna be TV star

That's why they targeted him in DC and NY, not a chance of a fair trial. DC is 95% lib.

He's guilty trying to not pay taxes.

Same as every dude in this forum, including bullskin.

Well, if you don't want to be tried in NY, don't commit your crimes in NY...

And if the judge has erred in his decision, no doubt Trump will file an appeal. I hope it goes all the way to the Supreme Court. If it does, will you still blame the Court if he is found guilty?

Doesn't speak to justice if that's your answer.

I GUARANTEE you try to lessen your taxes

Justice will be decided by the courts, not you. And I guarantee that you overestimate your predictive capacity and underestimate the integrity of others. I send my w-2s, credit card statements, etc. to a guy and he tells me how much I owe. Simple as that. The only effort I make to avoid taxes is to fill my tank with out-of-state fuel when I travel. Are you equating this with tax evasion or fraud? I notice also that you did not answer the question. What will your excuse for Trump be if his own Republican Supreme Court denies his appeal or finds him guilty?

Of course not. Will you blame it if he is?
If the current Supreme Court finds him guilty, I’ll believe he is.

Now, because we both know, the SC is bias as all hell, let’s just admit it right here and now, it won’t change anyone’s opinion. Bring back a Democrat biased SC and you get your wish, regardless of his guilt or innocence. Again, you know it and I know it.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we are living in two different universes, you’re in one, and you’re going to stay in the other. Hillary and AOC can talk all they want about “reeeducate/reprogramming” me but it isn’t going to happen. I’m not gonna live in your universe, not now, not ever.

So…….. we’re both simply wasting each others time in this conversation.

I believe the Supreme Court will follow the law. That is their Constitutional mandate. It is not to change people's minds. Whether the decision satisfies anyone is not really the point. Certainly, someone will be happy and someone else will be disappointed. So what? As for Hillary and AOC, I would not know what their goals are for you, and I don't care. I pay no attention to Dems. I do pay attention to good, honest men like Romney, Kinzinger and Kasich. I don't let the rest interfere with my thinking, and neither should you if it bugs you.

Eventually if you draw folks out, they expose themselves.

Romney.

So you mean good old honest Pierre, who a day before he started criticism of Trump, was begging for endorsements? Same guy lobbying to be Trumps Sec of State? That "honest" guy? The pro abortion MORMON gov in Massachusetts, who carpet bagged into Utah? The corporate raider, hedge fund owner? That Romney? Youre going to die on that hill? The same Romney who floated a president run with Oprah? The grandson of Mexican polygamists? Who ran to Mexico to continue polygamy? Same Romney who voted with the libs on gun control last year?

Good lord.

I am a capitalist and have no problem with hedge fund owners or those who buy and sell properties according to law. I do expect a functioning government to address the problems that result by means of legislation, and the courts to uphold the law. That is how change is made in the United States. Those who would break the law have no claim to justice by any other means.

I hold no grudge against him as a Mormon, easterner (your family carpet bagged west, too, as some point) or grandson of a polygamist. As for Trump's cabinet and other officials, I have great respect for the many of them who tried to keep an even keel while he was in office. I can only wish that Romney had been among them. Abortion? Don't care. I am not having one and so am not going to Hell, and I believe God left it to all to decide their fate in that regard. Gun control? I leave it to the Supreme Court to decide when Congress or the states overstep their bounds--as they recently have. That is the system, and it works.

And, if you will be equally honest, do you want to talk about your boy Trump, who has actually been a registered Democrat? Does he stand strong against the practice of capitalism when it is destructive? What should we make of a guy who refuses to pay his own contractors and then abandons his investors to suffer their losses for his poor investment decisions, while he escapes responsibility? What about a guy who follows the advice of Powell and Cheesebrow? Was he incredibly stupic, or was he the ringleader? We will soon know, but it was either one or the other. If the system is broken, it is actions like these that appear in need of attention.

Powell and Cheesebrow? The overthrowers if democracy who got $5000 fines and probation? Pretty dangerous folks?

What's funny is there was just a "sedition" by Palestinian supporters at the Capitol, and no one knew. It's almost as if, it doesn't fit the narrative.

Romney?. There's nothing left to say
