Unit 16 A youth hunt

We are headed to 16 A this weekend for my sons elk hunt. We have been there in Sep for the archery hunts but never this late. Are the elk still spread out through the unit or are they lower (closer to Reserve)? Any suggestions on where to be opening morning? Hoping to get my son on a cow. Just got back from Unit 52 last week if anyone is headed that way this weekend. I can let you know what we seen and where. Feel free to PM me if you like. Thank you.
