Hi Colorado Crew,
I picked up a 161 early deer tag on the leftover list today without knowing much about the unit. I am coming out that way from back east for an antelope hunt across the border. I know of the big fire in that area in 2016. This is the September 30 - October 8th hunt and you can hunt anywhere in the unit.
I ordered maps today and have been clicking glassing knobs on OnX all night. Any advice or thoughts on the tag would be appreciated, PMs work. I am wondering if things are greening up in the burned areas or if it was too hot of a fire to come back that quickly? Go high or go low in elevation?
Good luck this Fall on your hunts!
