Unit 17 antlerless elk hunt

A friend and I drew a late November Muzzleloader hunt in this unit. 17 is a pretty big unit. We hunted this area several years back on a antlerless hunt and seen a few animals but not as many as we hoped. We drew this as our third choice this year. Was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions where we might run into a couple of cows. We plan on heading out to scout a couple of weeks before the hunt . Any help would be appreciated.

You will have no problem finding cows east of Monica's Cabin along the ridges. Be there before daylight and you will see them leaving the flats to the black timber.
