Unit 171 anybody???

Anybody got any feedback on this unit? Buddy has horses . We know nothing of the unit except there is wilderness . Any reply would be appreciated and in return can advise on some NM units . Mostly intrested in a fun exp bow hunting maybe one muzzleloader in camp during that season .

A couple areas you can pack in on horses to the high country would be Bakers Pass or Bowen Pass. A few guys do the same so you might not be alone. Alot of the elk are down from the high country by mid August cause the grass has already frosted.
