i'm planning a first time antelope hunt for my son and father this fall. we have enough 2 pref points which i hope will draw unit 32. this will be a quick hunt as my son will be missing school. i was just curious as to the herd condition in the area? ive not any luck trying to talk to a biologist up there. looking at the draw odds stats it appears the numbers have went dont considerably over the years to NR but i may be looking at that all wrong. i know low herd numbers in wy is often good numbers in other states though. anyone been through there lately?

I have hunted unit 32 a few years back, before the big die off.I have heard the numbers are way down from those years. I got to believe you can still find good animals in the unit though. I hunted the Chalk Mountain area.lots of public land.
Also look at units 47 and 48,both good antelope units and public land.

i was looking at 47 and 48 but I don't think we can draw with 2 pps. who knows, may not be able to draw 32 this year. I remember a couple years ago I looked at the draw stats and it went for less points.

48 is not what it used to be. We hunted it the last 4 years and it's gotten worse each year. 3 years ago, we didn't fill our doe tags if you can believe that. It was like 80% of the herd just left the area. Very strange...we couldn't believe it. Good luck to you.

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.
