Unit 40 and points

I was reading a different post, and not sure I followed regarding expected point creep and non-resident license quota.

I'm trying to figure out if I'll be in the ballgame with the points I have this year for archery elk. The way I read it, last year you had great odds with 15 points and guaranteed with 16 points.

You think it's expected that it will jump up 2 points? I'm on the fence with 17.

They’re gonna go from 18 tags to 10 or 11 this year. Unless they raise the quota. If you count back from last years successful draw that puts it ending at the 17 point tier. Factor in that everyone gained a point then it’ll likely take 18 this year. That being said there’s a chance. Also a chance that everyone will get cold feet with the changes and some higher point guys will dump their points on it as well. I would say try it and cross your fingers but don’t expect it.
