Unit 53 pictures

Anyone have any pictures of unit 53 they'd be willing to share? Just curious to see some of the different terrains there. Not deer, just general pictures....

Let me paint the picture for you. The low stuff is juniper, sage but mostly juniper. That changes into oak brush jungle. Then dark timber/rocks/aspens to above timberline. You can be standing in one place and see all transition zones because there are paces it goes straight up and down.

2nd season deer are spread out from top to bottom. 3rd season you need weather to concentrate them on the winter range. Very diverse unit.

HAS UNIT 53 BOUNCED BACK SOME AS OF LATE. I KNOW IT GOT HIT HARD BY WINTER SNOWS & HAD A BAD KILL ON THE OLDER AGE CLASS BUCKS. SEEMS LIKE I DONT HEAR MUCH ABOUT THE UNIT AS OF LATE.......................YD.

Good unit in my opinion for deer and elk.

I live in unit 53. I live in the wintering grounds for both deer and elk and honestly I have not seen a big buck all winter. I used to see some good bucks every winter but last couple of winters the buck quality seems to be way down also the buck numbers are down. In places I used to see 100 deer now I am seeing a dozen or so. Elk on the other hand seem to be doing good. I'm seeing good numbers of elk. And like most over the counter units most of the bulls are raghorns with very few bulls over 300. I spend a lot of time in the hills and this is my observation of unit 53.
