Unit 53

Can anyone tell me something about Unit 53? What type or size of deer can be expected in this unit?

I hunted the 3rd season in 07, Nov 3rd thru the 9th. It was dry and t-shirt weather which made it tough hunting. We saw plenty of bucks 20-22 inch range and a couple in the 26-27 inch. I know they had a bad winter in 08, but if you have some weather, you should be able to find a good buck. I don't know the unit real well, but I have spent a week hunting it. Four of my buddies went their last year(2009)bagged four nice bucks 170's class,had a good hunt,but hunted hard.In other words they didn't walk out in front them.
