unit 61(deer) 9 pts

Thought i would draw thrid season this year with 9pts but no-go maybe next year.Every year it gets harder & harder to draw.ol well just have to take like a man &suck it up.

Drew in 07 with 7. 9 didn't get it in 09? Point creep.

When I drew, 7 didn't guarentee a tag.

Drew Unit 61 in 07 with 7 PPs. Drew Nv antelope in 08 with 7 PPs. Drew Nv elk with 7 PPs in 09.

In a couple of years I'll have 7 points for all three sheep species in NV, year after I'll have 7 Wy elk points. The next year I'll have 7 elk points in Utah.

I'm gonna look at the 7 PP plan each winter. That way at least I'll know what I'm gonna draw in January instead of June.

Unit 61 third season took 8 points for non-residents this year (23 of 27 applicants with 8 points drew).

Anybody had any recent experience deer hunting in unit 61? I remember seeing some large bucks in there in '98, but haven't been back since. Currently, have enough points (4PP) for a 3rd season tag.

I think KTC hunted there last fall, I'm not positive about that though.

In CO points are not averaged so unless everyone had 9 is probably the reason you didn't draw.
