unit 69 question

Is private land in unit 69 a big problem? My son (16)has 4 points for elk and I was wanting to do a muzzleleoader hunt or rifle hunt this year or next before he goes off the youth fee schedule. I notice 69 took a few points and was jsut wondering about the area. pm or email is great.

I used to live in the area and it does have quite a bit of private but the national forest has the Greenhorn wilderness which is pretty good from what I hear. I have never hunted it but I heard along the road going into the wilderness area is supposed to be pretty decent. Good luck.
