I'm a non resident that has built up 12 points and is thinking of pulling the trigger this year on a tag. If you had 12 non res points would you do the early rifle in 74? I love backing, especially with llamas and this unit looks good for that.

Thank you,
Travis

Great hunt with lots of bucks and beautiful country....don't see how you could go wrong. I was fortunate to draw the tag 2 years ago and had a lot of fun. My wife is sitting on 15 points and am thinking about having her use them on the same hunt. I'm not suggesting it's the best hunt in the state (although there are huge deer running around) but like I said....lots of deer and amazing country.

Good luck.....

Anyone have any photos of the unit and their hunts? Sounds like awesome country!

I'm sure there were plenty of bucks that are bigger in the unit but he was too pretty to pass up. His velvet held up perfectly for the taxidermist.

Couple of pics to give you an idea of what some of the unit looked like. Sorry for the quality of the pics....hopefully they give you some idea.

Great buck and awesome looking country! Anyone else have any pics of the country in 74?

Best have some lungs...

One thing about those 74 bucks, they sure got themselves confused with mtn goats..

Look at southeast or southwest facing slopes..

LAST EDITED ON Jan-28-13 AT 10:02PM (MST)[p]Here's some bucks and country in unit 74. I had an Archery hunt in 2011 and took a buck that was just shy of 31" wide, grossed 192". There was a bigger one with him too!

There are three bucks in this pic: 1 easy, 1 hard, and one really hard!
