Unit 80

I was just looking for a little info on unit 80. Has anyone done anygood in this unit? Are there lots of hunters? any info will help. Thank you very much.

Are you hunting deer or elk? Cat creek, might be a good place to start. Kind of low in elevation lots of open areas, Plenty of room for everybody. I prefer to hunt up higher, if I was going to hunt 80 I would try up stunner pass up to summitville and surrounding areas. But that is me. Are they good areas? Just as good as any other, you have to hunt to be successful. I have hunted and would hunt pretty much any area in 80/81. Any other information let me know.

Thanks for the info. Have you ever hunted the area when you come west out of Del Nort on the left side? I think it is called schreder I know that is spelled wrong? I will be hunting both deer and elk. Have you killed any big elk or deer up there where you hunt?

Unit 80 is a combined 80/81 unit. It covers a ton of area. I have hunted close to New Mexico along with area all the way West of Del Norte & South Fork. There are a bunch of good places to hunt, you just have to get to know the areas. Find fresh sign and hunt early morning and few hours before dark that's when you'll see the elk moving. You will run into quite a few hunters in this area. Any questions on actual location send a message. Good Luck
