Im headed down in a few weeks with my buddy on a late season elk hunt. I was just wondering if anyone has any areas that may be a good starting point down there.\

Just got done deer hunting over there right now. I killed a nice small meat buck but anyways we saw a whole bunch of elk everywhere we went. We saw them around Russell Tank, Armstrong Tank, on road 301. Saw bulls and cows. We saw a pretty nice big bull behind Russell Tank. We were walking slowly since the area was brushy and thick as heck. We jumped it. Overall we did see a lot elk in the areas I mentioned. If you need any more help let me know. I have hunted the unit 3 out of the last 4 years and have seen a lot of elk. Hope this helps.

Sancarloshunter, what is the story on your buck? How big was he and did the info I gave you help???? Never heard back from you after I gave you all that information........WG's
