Has any body had any luck on this january hunt. I hunted New Years day with no success. Seen track all over but did not bump any. Has any body hunted san mateo mesa or the back side of Cabezon. Planning on tomorrow for another peek.

Hunted today off 555 and 51. Seen a big herd on Floyds place but didn't run into any on NF. Has any body seen any on san mateo mesa or the back side thru san luis. Headed out again this coming Fri & SAT.

Is San Mateo mesa still open? I had a fire sale tag last year (2009) right after Thanksgiving and the USFS was closing the gate that Monday morning. Was told they lock the gate to allow a wintering area for the wildlife.
