This was a solo hunt. General area. 6th day of the season, 3rd day of my hunt (I rarely hunt the opening weekend). Fairly close to the place where I got my last Utah deer in 2009.
At 9am I spotted the buck @ about 1500 yards moving very methodically with 6 very vigilant sentinel doe. They bedded down 3 times throughout the day, closing the distance a few hundred yards with each move. The doe always stayed 100 to 300 yards away from the buck, which stayed strategically in the center of them. I shot him as he got up from his last bed at 5:20pm. Much more to the story, but I'll leave it at that.
I don't own a smartphone - my camera broke while fishing in the Uintah's in August, so no pics where the deer dropped, unfortunately. I took pics the next morning with an iPad.
