Thanks for the kind compliments. Yes, it is artificail velvet. This was a set of cracked white sheds. Did the mount to show options to customers. I thinks it a huge improvement over the old style of artificial.
I want to say it was just under $200 plus the shipping. $100 base then $.75 and linear inch. And whatever shipping cost there and back. If the skull plates are split it saves a ton on shipping. I normally take them to the guy myself since i see him at taxidermy competitions.
It's becoming more reasonable. 5-6 years ago, its seems like I was quoted $400 for a 160 class deer. It also looks alot better too than the first artificial that came out.
I know this is an old post but I just found it got me very excited as it looks a lot like my muzzleloader buck from 2016 and it's the exact same pose I'm getting done! Taxi said he will be done sometime this month after seeing this buck I really really can't wait!
