My brother killed a buck on the smokepole hunt in Utah this fall that appears to have been shot in the antler with a broadhead while in velvet as well. His buck also had a nasty gash on his mouth and face that looks like someone bounced an arrow off of his cheek.....
Here is the antler, what do you guys think? The gash is on the buck's left side right below the G2 split.
I found an old skull, horns still attached, that has a broad head inbedded in one of the antlers. All that was left was the rotting old skull and the antlers. When I picked it up I noticed the broadhead. It was buried so deep it was almost covered.
