Vortex Razor vs. Viper?

I am wondering what the differences are between the two and which is preferred?

I bet that Prism will chime in here too. I personally went the Razor route because I liked the eye cups better. I thought the glass was clearer slightly, but that could be subjective depending on your eyes.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Razors and would highly recommend them. I have not compared the two in the field, but I will guarantee that Prism can give you more details to the differences he noticed.

I was wondering the same as I am considering either the 15x51 Vipers or 12x50 Razors for my tripod mounted binos.

The optical quality of the Razors is superior to that of the Viper. Due to the better optical design of the Razors it will give better quality resolution.
You may also find that the physical design of the Razor makes it more comfortable to hold and the eye-cups, as already pointed out, are a nicer feel
