The fact of the matter is, we as utahn's have more chances to draw because we pay for them. We pay our taxes, we buy the general season tags, some are "dedicated" hunters. We are the ones who take care of the problems that come up in our R.A.C. meatings. So why would we do all this just to give it away to non-residents. If you want to draw a tag, great! Keep trying like the rest of us. I have been putting in for nine years, never drawn. I have been bow hunting since I was fourteen, I have never killed a buck. I have had umpteen million chances, but I believe that if you kill the medeocur bucks, you will have far less large bucks. I have scouted my guts out, trying to find a big deer (in the cache unit) and in nine years have had one chance at a 27" buck that busted on me at 60 yards. I might hunt for another nine years before I kill my trophy, but I will never quit scouting or hunting because of "failer." Nor will I quit putting in for my trophy and once-in-a-lifetime hunts. Because "He who quits, can never succeed."
Keep putting in, keep trying to find big animals in your home state and success will come to those who try. No matter what it is you are trying for.
