Weatherby vangaurd

Tell me about these rifles, please. I have the opportunity to aquire one in a trade. It's a 24" .243 NIB, but I know nothing about Weatherby rifles, other than this one comes from a reliable source.

That is their entry level rifle, they can be had at Wal Mart for around $450.

They're made by Howa, they're ok but no MK V .

Some of them shoot like a house of fire and they are a good value. You don't have to buy a Mk5 to get a dependable firearm from Weatherby it's just a lower price point gun that should give you years of service as a more affordable alternative.

I have two vanguards and both are very very accurate rifles. Very nice rifles for under $500. The only down side is they are a little heavy.

I have a vanguard in 300wsm and love it. For the money it is a very good rifle.
