Hi everyone-
I am e-scouting for the upcoming archery javelina hunt in January.

What are some features or landscapes I should be looking for as I scan the different maps and resources?

Look for east facing slopes for your morning glassing session. They don’t like cold, so they’ll hang out in thick protective washes and pop up as soon as the sun lights up the hillside. Washes and rolling hills is what I’d look for.

They have a small home range, a square mile or so. A good water source will keep them within their home range pretty much their entire lives.
