Now that most of the draws are done, how did everybody do? I'm pretty excited about the upcoming season. Nothing real spectacular (except one tag), but lots of fun hunting -
Sept. - Jr's muzzie deer
Oct. - Wyoming antelope (me, jr., and dad)
Oct. - Colorado deer & elk (Jr. and me)
Nov. - NM coues deer (me)
Feb.-March - NM javie and barbary (Jr. and me)
 
August - OIL Oryx
September NM Archery Elk
Sept & Jan NM Archery Deer
Nov Whiteys in Texas

Of course the year my family draws out is the year my wife and I have a beautiful duaghter to raise but o'well she will just have to go on some of the hunts

Going to be a busy year for me with lots of elk huntin .
Wyoming elk unit # 111 . couple of weeks in September with the bow . Then if I have to rifle hunt it Oct.10-?
New Mexico #13 muzzy elk ,Oct 24-28
Nevada #231 elk tag , Nov. 6- till I get a good one or tired .
Oryx , White sands in January .
Plus what ever time I can find for Utah muzzy deer .
 
Hey Foundation, what about the Bear from Idaho you already got? You can mention that to. As for me,,,

I'm cutting my elk hunt short to have time to help my cousin and my friend's kid with their hunts...should be great fun though.
 
Headed back home to the TX hill country in late Aug for a Sika and Fallow deer hunt to kick off the season.

Then drew unit 27 muzz bull hunt here in AZ. Starts the 25th of Sept.
Should have a coues tag for late Oct here.

Mexico coues in Jan.

With LOTS of Mearns hunting with the mutts inbetween!!!

Nothing... dogged out on the draw. My dad drew Stallion Range Antelope, bow deer, unit 9 elk. My brother drew burro coues, 17 elk, and thats it. They got all the draw luck in the family I guess...

It really just depends on the timing of that. I would love to go though, as I know there are some monsters on there.
 
Congrats on drawing guys. Paul.... dear lord! My family and I drew a good lot of tags for '09 but I'm going to be limited to short hunts this year which is not making me happy.

March: harvested my Stallion Range oryx (Thanks Chris @ Compasswest)

September through March: Birds, birds, birds

September: CO: my old man drew Muzzle elk, early rifle high country deer in a limited unit, and will be bow hunting for cows between those two hunts. looks like I'll miss for the 2nd year in a row...

October: NM Father in law muzzle elk Unit 2, my fiancee and me 2nd Gila rifle:

November: NM Father in law, fiancee and me, muzzle, 1st and 2nd rifle deer hunts, Gila.
Wisconsin or Illinois Whitetail (want to do both..)

December-March: barbary, birds, birds...
 
Thanks, ya I figured I'd be there for that. It's more important than a hunt.... But, I'm hoping that I get to do both!!!! That would be great!!!!

I had a great draw and am very fortunate to be allowed in the field for the following:

Elk- Unit 16A -Bow
Deer- Unit 13 - Bow
Barbary-30

I also had a great year in the draw, plus I shot my wad on a sheep hunt in Alaska. So I'll be busy, may have to retire:

mid Aug- AK Dall sheep
early Sept-CO OTC archery elk (may bail on this one)
mid Sept- AZ bull elk archery
late Sept- UT Book Cliffs muzzy deer (assist brother)
early Oct- NM muzzy elk, U36
early Nov- CO whitetail archery
Jan- NM 2B deer archery
March- off range oryx
 
Sept 11-20 Archery Elk Unit 16E
Oct 15-18 Aoudad sheep West Texas

That's it this year unless I get called for a depredation antelope hunt before the end of October. I will not get to mule deer or barbary sheep hunt due to military training and a move to Idaho immediately following.
