What's your thoughts on Tebow now!

For all of you calling for Tebow time what's your take on the situation now? I and I believe it was Roy said trust coach Fox, fan pressure forced him into playing Tebow. I really like and respect Tebow but what damage is being done to this guys confidence? Even Aaron Rodgers had to wait and learn. I'm not sure he would ever be a successful NFL quarterback but I think the chances are less now when he goes back to the bench this week or in a few more.

He sucks.

I did say to trust Coach Fox. He is proving now that Tebow can't do it and they will get rid of him or move him to the H-back and run the wildcat.

They need to tank the rest of the season and get in the running for Luck - or work like crazy in the offseason to figure out a way to trade up for him.

QB is just the first of their needs though. The defense needs major work too.

I don't feel bad for Tebow. He has been paid well, yes it is a little disconcerting to learn you can't be the superstar everyone wants you to be, but that is life. He has demonstrated that he has sufficient character to weather the storm. If he doesn't, it has all been a facade.

Next week the chant will be

BRING IN QUINN!

I NEVER thought he(Tebow) was NFL quaterback material. A good athlete, yes, but not for the position. He had mediocre college passing skills, and relied on his running "skills" and at the college level it was fine.

Fastforward to the pro's....and not getting to sit, watch and train behind a veteran...he's done.

My analogy: you don't get good at golf ON the course, you get good on the range, years of coaching and ball striking...if the only chance you get to learn is in a tourney when every shot counts...you won't make many cuts.

Some may say he's HAD years of coaching...I say they are having to start over with him- to turn him into an NFL quarteback. And Sunday is NO time for coaching/practicing with the amount of pressure(not to mention the added pressure of not wanting to fail in front of the fans that VOTED him in) a defense that literally want to knock you out brings.

By bringing Tebow into fail, maybe its Coachs way of saying "See, he aint ready, now can I be the coach again?"

Never understood the hatred towards Tebow. He probably won't end up as the long term starting QB for the Broncos or any other team but he does deserve a shot. Him and Vick are probably the two most polarizing players in the NFL, for 2 totally different reasons. People don't like Tebow because he shows that he's religious. Period. Things you can count on with him is he won't get arrested for beating his wife or girlfriend, get caught for drunk driving, doing drugs, hiding a gun in his sweats, fighting dogs, stealing and causing havoc with his homeboys. He doesn't flaunt the bling and isn't littered with tattoos and he can speak with good English. I'd like to see him do well but I doubt his calling is a NFL QB. I think he'd make a great tight end but he doesn't seem to be to open to changing positions.
Carry on.....

being a charger fan i hope he sucks ! having said that i really like the guy ! he gets the guys playing hard, he has moxie, and a winning pedigree. i think he will be an average qb. it's hard to say though they traded there best reciver for what ? even aaron rodgers would have a tough go in denver. they need an overhaul top to bottom. i say let tebow play out the year. he will either get better or the negative publicity will drive him to drinking . then everyone else will root for him lol

I think hell turn into something in a few years, but probably won't be with Denver. He panics like a high-school kid in the pocket under pressure and hangs on to the ball too long. He can't throw a spiral to save his arse! The only thing I see him bring to the team is the will to never give up fighting. His game is a lot like Michael Vicks, if he can't fire it off, he'll run it. Denver is screwed because Brady Quinn brings absolutely nothing to the table either. "Thanks Josh McDaniels for screwing up my team!!!!"

I agree he will do just fine,
Now if the coach will pull his head out of his azz and run the shotgun instead of putting him under center.
1st drive shotgun and they score, rest of the game under center and he gets sacked like 7 times. If you don't want to win just say so and tank the game with BAD play calling.
A Pop warner coach could of called a better game.

Please call the Viking and trade him for Mcnabb.

He needs a better offensive line. I think the was sacked 7 times in the Detroit game; along with a lot of hurries.

Compromise, hell! ... If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?

I like the Florida Gators, but Tebow is struggling in the NFl. He was awesome in college. I hope he can get with the program, but I don't think he can do that in Denver.

I like a tebow better than a rib steak. Rib steak is good too but the little part next to the bone on a tebow is the best!!

That's all i gotta say about that...

Is this code for something we should know about Sage?

I've "hated" the Broncos for 30 years. I think Tebow is a good guy. The "worst" thing of which he's been accused is being too nice.

BUT, I'd say last Sunday was a fairly good demonstration that the "the experts" who said his delivery was slow, his balance was incorrect and he needed "work", knew whereof they spoke......'cause I coulda' done THAT.

Within the shadows, go quietly.

He's a great person, A great athelete and will someday be a really good NFL quarterback...He has been thrown into the fire way to soon. Give him time...

Government doesn't fix anything and has spent trillions proving it!!!
Let's face it...After Monday and Tuesday, even the calender says WTF!

I don't see how he recovers confidence if they continue to play him and he continues not to be able to read defenses. I think he could be a good red zone QB because of his dual threat. Great guy I really like him but that doesn't make him any good as an NFL quarterback. I think anytime a guy wins two Heismans he is going to polarize fans one way or another. Luck is the real deal I think he will be a difference maker on the right team, not sure the Broncos are that team.

Funny Sage, but you're starting to sound like Rugburn, tender bones and all.

I'm more pissed about the friggin fans and their billboards. Tebow is the 4th best QB in our lineup, but because of McDaniels we're into him for a few million. The fans see a good guy and ASSume he must be our savior. The worst part is now the whole league knows he sucks, and we'll never be able to trade him and get our money back.
We need a total rebuild, starting with an O-line and defense. With Champ and Dawkins getting long in the tooth, I think it'll just get worse before better.
Oh well, at least it frees up my Sundays.

If an Offensive line is going to give the defense a free run, I dont care who you are, your in trouble. And if your a scambling Quarterback, then sooner or later your gonna get packed off the field (works in college, but not in the pros for very long.) Yes he's struggling, but he will never ever be a tackling dummy like that Ian Peon Johnson, that everyone in this state loves.

I say, let him play, OJT so to speak. He is sure to get pretty beat up with THAT offensive line though.

The rest of the team ain't all that hot either.

Maybe next year, with some experience, who knows?

People don't like him because he is too nice. But someone said that he actually uttered the words, "Well Gosh!" after he was sacked.

The one thing I do like about him is he will lower a shoulder instead of sliding. In a league of prima donnas, he's a ball player.

I think he will become a good quarterback in the pros hes a winner so I dont see him with denver too much longer Im sure someone else will find a good use for him in their offense.

I am not a Tebow fan or hater. Had I been the Broncos I would have never let him take a snap as his trade value has now dropped.

Because of the QB prospects that will hit the draft this offseason they had to play him. Now they will know exactly what they have and need at the qb position this off season.

Keep playing him but get ready to draft Andrew Luck, Kellen Moore, Keith Price or Matt Barkley and then build your team around that pick.

the broncos suck... tebow sucks and the raiders are gonna ##### all over them today

I'll tell you this much, And I'm indifferent as to who is the bronco's QB. (I'm a Niner fan) but the Bronco O-Line freckin sucks arse. The Raiders are all over the poor guy. He doesn't even have a chance to show if he is any good or not with that O-Line. ANY QB would suck on that team. and that is a FACT.

Tebow and the Broncos may suck but what does that say for your Raiders and their Chitty sieve they call defense.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-07-11 AT 07:53AM (MST)[p]tebow is not very good right now, he might get better- who knows. one thing for sure- he is no worse than Kyle Orton, they will win more games with him as a qb than anyone else on their roster. the kid does know how to play competetive football And the whole team plays better when he is taking the snaps.

that said, if we happen to get a shot at andrew luck- take him!

Not exactly going out on a limb with that pick there Cornhusker. I can't think of anyone I'd take over Rodgers right now. He's playing at a level that few have ever reached.

+1 EH49, husker has a keen sense for the obvious. Tebow will win games if surrounded by the right team. May not be pretty and he will never be Aaron Rodgers but win games he will. People just need to get off his back and let him play.

He still sucks - as a QB. Never going to be a long-term option there. He can't throw the ball like he needs too.

BUT - as a team leader and an electryfing option runner? -ELECTRYFING.

Best young player of that game though was Von Miller. STUD.

Bronco homers crack me up... Tebow sucks. Remember what happened when he played against the Lions (the only real team he has started against). The Broncos have beaten NO BODY when are you fools gonna see it?

A. They wont make the playoffs
B. They will have a losing record
C. Tebow will still suck

HE ISNT A NFL QB get over it.

As I said before, he will never be Aaron Rodgers but he has won games where ever he has been. Love him or hate him, he's a winner!

Danged if I don't have one foot climbing up on the bandwagon now. It's embarrassing watching Tebow throw, but his running and willing to deliver a hit instead of sliding has made me a fan. I'm still not sold on him being the QB of the future, but hey, they are 4-1 with him.

Broncos #1 goal in life is to keep Von Miller. Damn he's good!

+1 Zekers

It is embarrasing and electrifying at the same time. I do not think he is their QB answer but he is winning games. I love to see my Broncos win but how in the hell does Sanchez throw for 200+ yards vs Tebow 104 and still loose?? How on earth does a QB get away with the W when he throws less than 10 passes the entire game??

I think Denver is nuts to keep him at QB after this year but even more nuts trading him. He ignites his teammates with an amazing ability to win and that is worth gold in this league! Lets see how he does as TE or RB, if that man could catch a ball he would be excellent at TE.

They will have to draft the best QB available to them because that dude will have to start playing immediately.

4-1 is the ticket that will keep him in a Bronco uniform. He does keep the team in high spirits.

I think if Tebow has a long term future in the NFL it is as an H-back, or change of tempo option at QB. The nature of his game is always going to be a little bit gimmicky but when he has the ball in his hands he moves the chains for the most part. The most encouraging thing about this stretch of wins is that the team is playing well together on both sides of the ball. The O-line is dominating the line of scrimmage and Champ Bailey is having one of his best years of the last five. Yes, I would even say that they are beginning to gel, but remember Jell-o gels too, and we all know what happens under heat and pressure.

This was an UGLY UGLY UGLY NFL game. Only 3 TD's were scored - one by an Offensive lineman, one by a DB and one by an H-back who shouldn't be playing QB. Denver had two decent drives, their first and their last. They punted on 8 straight possesions. The defense kept them in the game long enough for Tebow to work his magic. But remember this is the NFL - which as Jerry Glanville used to say, (and he knew a thing or two about it) stands for Not For Long. The AFC west is atrocious. The Raiders are improved but still a step or two away, the Chiefs are back to being the Chiefs and the Chargers have Norved out and unless they can get back on track against Chicago this weekend are done for the year too. Either way I think they beat Denver the next week. I see Denver finishing 7-9, maybe 8-8 at best, losing to San Diego, Chicago (Cutler's retrun to Mile High), New England, and possibly to Buffalo. I think they only beat Minnesota and Kansas City from here on out, maybe Buffalo.

As a forward passer he doesn't seem to have a great future but he'd make a great ball carrier or tight end.

TEBOW HAS BEEN A WINNER AT ALL LEVELS, NO PLAYER HAS A BIGGER HEART. HE WILL WORK HARDER THAN ANYBODY TO GET BETTER, DONT BET AGAINST HIM.......& HE WILL NOT SWITCH POSITIONS..............YD.

I'm a Bronco hater, but the guy is a stud. He is 5-1 as a starter; can't take that away from him.

He will Probably NEVER be a "typical" NFL passer....but one thing that happens with him in the game, is that they WIN!!!! And in the NFL, winning is more important than stats!!! He makes the entire team play better when he is on the field!! As Roy and I were discussing, he was WAY excited and ready to get back in there when SD missed that field goal! You knew that he was wanting to win that game!!

The thing that people are missing is that even the Defense has played MUCH better now that Tebow is running the team. Elvis and Von Miller are AMAZING coming off the ends and will be a force to hold the rest of the year.

Tebow is not your Manning type QB.....but boy...the kid plays hard...and you have to respect that now matter who you cheer for!

He has lit a huge bonfire under his team, you can't deny that! Its obvious they are supporting his game, just look at the offense and how long they give him to make a play, that right there proves their belief in him. He improves every game, and so does the entire Broncos roster. Vikings on the road next, this will be a good test!!

LAST EDITED ON Nov-28-11 AT 02:41PM (MST)[p]He keeps getting better with every game and the team has definitely been elevated with him as a starter. He makes McGahee a better runner because he makes the defense have to account for the option and he throws it just well enough to keep them from committing completely to an option stopping defense (bringing up the playside DB and giving him pitch responsibility and allowing the LB to tee-off on the QB) plus the line is blocking the scheme extremely well and are accounting for everybody in the box. So yeah, things are working and looking good. I don't know how long an NFL team can sustain an offense like this, but it sure is fun to watch them win!

The real tests are coming up though as Slammy said. I am not so much concerned with Minnesota and not even with Chicago as much for tht matter either now that they have lost Cutler. New England and Buffalo will be difficult though and then they end up with the Chiefs at home (in what will likely be Todd Haley's last game as Chiefs Head Coach). So I see them finishing 9-7 maybe 8-8, which might be good enough to win the Division, depending on what Oakland does against what appears to be a tougher schedule.

I agree Roy. I find myself cheering for the guy even though I'm not a Bronco's fan. I myself and evidently Elway don't see him as the future of the franchise, but the guy has some moxie I like to see. I still don't think he's getting any better at passing but he's winning.

May as well bounce this back to the top for all the great Tebow predictions found in it. After all, it is Tebow time.

Tebow looked much better today too. Threw the ball nicely and it was great to finally see Thomas start catching the ball!!

The defense lost a couple big plays today...but made them when it counted!!!! Get Miller back and they should beat Chicago next week too!!!

I am loving these nail biter games, wow!!!
Chicago Bears next......that's going to be a tough one, but i'd never say "impossible" with what's been happening.
Go Donkeys, bye bye Raiders, you've been bumped!

Nice win against my team.

Good to see a nice guy succeed.

From an excerpt written by Peter King of Sports Illustrated:

" "Before I let Tebow go, I asked him if anyone after the game -- coaches, players, execs -- had said anything memorable to him. "Everybody was happy,'' he said, "but I'll tell you one thing that happened during the week that I remember ... ''

Good, I thought. John Fox, maybe, sidling up to him and saying something sportingly profound like, "Son, we're going to ride that left arm and those legs to the Super Bowl.''

" ... I had an opportunity to talk with a kid named Blake Appleton, from Florida, on Thursday. He's a leukemia patient who's just been moved to hospice. And after the game, when I was being interviewed on TV, I got to say his name. That's what I'm proud of today. I let him know people cared about him. I let him know God has a plan for him."

And that was the end of the Tebow interview. He had to rush to get on the bus to the airport. Except ...

"Have a good day, Mr. King. And God bless you." "

He's getting better at throwing the ball still a slow release but he's accurate sometimes. I hope they make the playoffs with him to show all those, including me who didn't think he could be a good NFL quarterback, he might make it.

I went back and read the posts at the start of this post. There is some serious crow to be eatin by a few haters. I've never been a Broncos fan or a Tebow fan for that matter but I can't wait to see what this team does next. Its unbelievable, unexplainable and inspiring.

Except for the feathers, I'm enjoying it raw! I have jumped on the bandwagon. Von Miller deserves as much or more credit for their success though, but I'm getting nekid texts of girls Tebowin, not Millerin!

Pretty hard to find something bad about Tim Tebow.....6 straight wins. Great entertainment!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-12-11 AT 03:03PM (MST)[p]Guess I was a little long on my Todd Haley prediction. Chiefs canned him today. Broncos will whip them soundly. This week is the big test. I am even feeling a lot better about the Bills game next week. They are on a major slide. Looks like the Broncos are going to win the division! Can you believe it?? Wow - what a season.

Still don't think Tebow is a long term solution until he improves his accuracy and plays a sold 4 quarters.

Give the credit to Coach Fox - he has been brilliant this year and the team is believing in themselves. If Tebow helped that and can sustain it, it might not matter if he can throw the ball. They just need to be a 4 quarter team before I will be really impressed.

It sure appears they have built a great team both offensively and defensively. Timmie has a long ways to go, but his heart couldn't be any bigger and it bleeds over on to the whole team.
I'm stunned how he is more accurate in the pocket under pressure and running than he is standing still waiting for his receiver to get open. That's one thing Orton wasn't!!
If he can rally the team in the first half of the game like he does in the last half of the 4th quarter we'll be dangerous next year!! He's also got to learn to get rid of that ball when he's about to be sacked, he's going to get hurt!!

Was I right?

Here is a summary of Tebow's passing stats for his run as a starter this year with Denver:

10/23 vs. Dolphins - 13/27 161 yards 2 TD 0 INT 91.7 QB rating
10/30 vs. Lions - 18/39 172 yards 1 TD 1 INT 56.8 QB rating
11/6 vs. Raiders - 10/21 124 yards 2 TD 0 INT 98.1 QB rating
11/13 vs. Chiefs - 2/8 69 yards 1 TD 0 INT 102.6 QB rating
11/17 vs. Jets - 9/20 104 yards 0 TD 0 INT 61.2 QB rating
11/27 vs. Chargers - 9/18 143 yards 1 TD 0 INT 95.4 QB rating
12/4 vs. Vikings - 10/15 202 yards 2 TD 0 INT 149.3 QB rating
12/11 vs. Bears - 12/19 115 yards 0 TD 0 INT 79.9 QB rating
12/18 vs. Patriots - 11/22 194 yards 0 TD 0 INT 80.5 QB rating
12/24 vs. Bills - 13/29 185 yards 1 TD 3 INT 37.9 QB rating
1/1 vs. Chiefs - 6/22 60 yards 0 TD 1 INT 20.6 QB rating
Season - 126/271 1729 yards 12 TD 6 INT 7 Fumbles 72.0 QB rating

The stats speak for themselves. I am not going to analyze that. Tebow had a few good games and is a proven leader but he is just not an NFL passing quarterback. A zone-read option offense is not a sustainable solution in today's NFL. Looks like the winning streak is over. Reality has set in. PLEASE STOP DRINKING THE COOL-AID.

If he comes out and throws for 25 completions 300 yards, 3 TDs and has a QB rating over 125 and beats the Steelers then I will eat my words. If not, Denver will be looking for a QB in free agency or through the draft. If they can't get Luck or RGIII they should sign a journeyman to get them through next year then go for Barkley in the 2013 draft.

Tebow is no more than a backup at best. He has benefited by a good Denver D and fortunate bounces. "Tebowmania" ends this weekend against the Steelers.

Eldorado

I'd like to see him do well, but as Roy showed he went backwards as they faced tougher teams. I don't see him as the starting quarterback of any NFL team including Denver in the future. Teams learned how to defend the read option and two completions a game usually doesn't win a game.

I agree to a point with Roy and Cornhusker, I think Tebow finally saw what he REALLY is and it KILLED his confidence which even in the best QBs in the league is an underrated intangible and he is not among the best IMO.

Bill

Kill the buck that makes YOU happy!

I kind of wanted to see him keep doing well. I cant believe how many people actually thought he was going to pan out. I like the guy, but I dont see how anyone can picture him leading a team for many years to come. He would have to make some major changes. While I hope he does well in the playoffs, but Im going to predict a 3 possession win by the Steelers.

My team is not in the post season so Denver is my playoff team!

I like Tebow and wish him well but it don't look good but, he's proved doubters wrong before, we'll see.

I have come to really like Tebow. That 6 game winning streak made it fun to watch the Broncos again. The last 3 games have been a joke, with most of the blame dropped squarely on Tebow. Defenses have figured out how to play against the option. The team though has hung themselves with penalties. Our defense has been hurt, with rookies in the secondary. Fox and Elway HAVE NOT done anything to help Tebow and his style of play. Tebow has come a long ways to becoming a better QB. A good offseason and a coaching staff willing to help could turn Tebow into a good NFL QB, although he will never be an elite QB. I would rather have Tebow leading the Broncos into the future than another whiney azz Plummer, Griese, Cutler, etc. Only a few teams have awesome QB's. If we cannot have the next Elway, why not build a team around a good guy for once, who is smart and talented enough to get better, and can make it fun to spend Sunday's around the TV again.

BTW, I predict Steelers 38, Broncos 13. I'm sure we're going to lose, but I'll be watching anyway.
