So, if it is Ok for them (govt) to make you pay for a drug or process, why is it not ok for them (govt) to make you go to church?

Preventing a pregnancy is cheaper than the cost that comes with childbirth and the child. if the woman wanted the kid she wouldn't want birth control would she? call it preventitive medicine that saves us all money.

Your god squad opposition to everything that makes sense gets mighty old. life doesn't begin at conception anymore , it begins when you buy insurance.

One problem with your argument there. You missed the whole point. It has squat to do with abortion, drugs or insurance. Has everything to do with the govt telling people that they have to purchase something.

You have to buy liability and unisured motorist insurance, is that an assult on your liberty too? my wife has to pay maternity insurance and she's never had kids and won't. I have to pay for schools in my property taxes and I don't have kids, is that a rip off or what? define what is actually a loss of freedom before you jump on the drama queen bandwagon.


Anyone who thinks this is a bad idea is dumb I can't help you, stupid is as stupid does. most who object do it on religious grounds because there is no logical reason to object. it's better for the patient, the unwanted kid and for our pocketbook and it's long overdue.

But under this premise, anti hunters should be forced to buy hunting license's even though they don't hunt. Better for the habitat, animals and our pocketbook....long over due.

This is nothing more than another oppresive govt "Regulation".

Definition of a loss of freedom for me is, being forced to pay for something I did not choose to partake in. Like paying foreign aid to another country...Israel for example. Or having to pay for some crack addicts abortion or kid. These are things are beyond the intended scope of the Federal govt. They should just set up voluntary donation funds for these types of things.
Worked pretty good for Haiti.

I really like the thought of getting taxed more than Billy Fred because his Daddy gave him a trailer park to run and he makes about 30K a year and chooses not to do anything to perpetuate his economic status, when I have busted my butt to get where I am at at, then I am rewarded with a higher tax bracket? So for doing good I am punished? Why don't they tax me more since I am over six foot tall?


The Federal Govt already gets it revenue from me by income tax. I should not be required and neither should any other American be required to pay "EXTRAS", because the Federal Govt cannot or will not operate within their constitutional or budgetary boundaries.

I guess the Patriot Act is Ok? Or the great GWB repeal of Posse Comatitus was Ok? If you think Washington, both sides of it, isn't slowly but surely painting the American people into a corner, then I can't help you. You know what they say about painting someone into a corner.

Piper hit the nail on the head, what you wingnuts can't seem to get through your heads is with overpopulation comes restriction. you want to live in the wild west of 1880 but with 100 times more people, forget it.

The irony is you are against birth control and abortion when it's overpopulation that's at the heart of what you call your loss of freedom. your rights end where my toes begin, and when there are toes in every direction you turn you do the math.

We function as a society doing what best for the masses or we become disfunctional. it's only going to get worse you can bet on that and your desire to insure overpopulation means you're more at fault than I am so shut up.

As a society Americans, are losing their freedoms, because they don't abort enough kids.......Interesting concept.

I didn't say that, I said due to overpoulation. birth control can be a huge factor but abortion is very minor in the big picture. no matter what the population will rise.

If you can't see the effects overpopulation has on quality of life and personal space I can't begin to explain it's effects on public policy to you.

No worry your rapture should be here soon, the ship only needs to hold the " good people " so there should be plenty of room for you and Manny.
