which gps to buy

I want to buy a gps to hunt the national forrests in wyoming region H. what is a good idea?

Lot's of good info in the posts where kilowatt recomends.
My garmin 76S is great I don't leave home with out it. It displays all my topo maps and much more. It's a good tool for outdoor use. I do my pre scouting sitting at my computer and then dump it into the gps and it's with me in the hills. I have owned a few gps's and the garmin seems to be more user friendly. When it comes down to what a guy really needs in a GPS the cheapest one on the market will tell you where your at.

I have a Garmin etrex and it does everything I need for 99.99 or thereabouts. One of the best features is the buttons on the sides of the unit. That makes for one hand operation. Most other Garmins are set up the same I think. mtmuley
