Which last the longest

question which last longest a dozen arrows or the target?
not counting arrows lost

I would say the arrows would last out the target if you can shoot and the arrows are carbon...but if the arrows are aluminum then the target wins.

I think if you can shoot well enough to hit the target the arrows will outlive the target and shaft type ( aluminum or carbon) really shouldn't matter. On the other hand if you miss the carbon will serve you better but if you miss frequently then the target will live to see your next dozen. Although if you don't practice much it could be a draw since neither will show much wear.
