A friend gets fresh fish all the time for his restaurant menu. Had a craving for some sushi grade Ahi tonight. Seared it just right in toasted sesame seeds. Pickled ginger, smoking hot wasabi, soy, and veggies with classic hummus. Oh man it was good!!
It was a Basmati rice; we tend to only use it and Jasmine, and both are long grain. I had hoped by not rinsing it, that it would come out a little stickier. I should have found some medium or white rice, like you would use for a sushi roll.
