What I am trying to figure out is why it takes 9 weeks from the April 3 application deadline to the June 4-8 draw results. Considering that there are no paper apps anymore, it should take less time to process apps and if you make an error, it will not let you apply. Once the apps are in, the next step is to determine how many licenses will be issued. This year the recommended license allocations were available April 20 and they were approved on May 3 or 4. That leaves 4 weeks until the draw. So what else does CPW need to do prior to the draw? I am assuming I must be missing something. If not, in the future why not move the draw up 4 weeks so applicants can find out sooner and CPW gets paid 4 weeks sooner?
