Wierd Lizard?

I was splitting some wood today and found this guy under the wood pile.The tail is really bright and he is about 3 1/2 to 4" long.It's pretty cool looking.Anyone know what it is?

It's a member of the skink family. A Skilton (sp???) I believe.

yes sir, thats a blue taild skink, cool little guys. almost snake like.
