WY Bison hunt nixed

Just read that due to pressure from out of state groups the 1st bison hunt in Wyoming was nixed. Bummer, I always thought of Wyoming as the last real western state. Appears the liberals have moved in their too.

Wyoming too? I had heard about the one in Montana being called off for PR reasons, and now Wyoming is following?

I think you mean MT. THis year woudldn't be the first year for WY to have a buffalo hunt

The hunt was cancelled in Montana. Wyoming's bison hunt went just as planned this year. I know of at least 3 good bulls taken this year on the forest, one that went into the all-time book, taken by our local B&C scorer.

Wyoming's been hunting bison for the last half dozen years or so. In fact, anyone that wants to get on to the priority list for 2005 had better get their application in soon, as the deadline is the end of January.
