Wyoming spring Bear

I was able to take this bear on May 22nd. Wondering what you guys think. How big do you think he was?

Nice bear! That is a big beautiful trophy, congratulations.

I would guess he is around 275-300 pounds. Square 6'6", 10+ year old bear.

Thank you for the reply. I was super excited to get him. I had pictures of him for a month before i got him. The night i shot him it snowed three inches. I was sitting there with trash bags on, but it was well worth the wait. You are right on the money with the square at 6'6" and also correct with the age. The game warden that checked him in said he thought he was between 12 and 15. Care to take another guess on the weight.

Ya, I'll bite. After you confirmed the square and age, I'll assume he was as big and fat as he looks and revise my weight guess to 375.

You are right he was super fat. He had over six inches of fat on his back. 375 is alot closer. He weighed 420 pounds i thought he might get to the 450 mark after looking at hundreds of pictures of him. Still i am super happy with him. He is at the taxi right now and can't wait to see him when i get him back.
