Can anybody give me some direction on unit 16? I have 6 points and I like what this area has to offer, and I think I might have a shot at drawing it on the type 2 (late season) hunt. From the research I have done it looks like most of the unit is public land but some hunters say that much of the public is land locked by large private ranches, and its tough to find elk on the public land. My plan would be to focus on hunting the last 1/2 of September with my bow but use the rifle hunt in November as my failsafe. Any advice would be much appreciated.
