Long time Lurker, First time poster.

My daughter got her Hunter's Safety last month ( she is 10 ), and I would love to get her into some deer this year.

I am primarily an elk and predator hunter, so I thought I would ask for a bit of help in finding a good unit for her to hunt.

I am not looking for a monster, just a FAD that will fulfill her dream of a getting a deer. It will be successful even if it is just her and Dad in the woods for a weekend or so.

I have looked at the hunts in 13 and 17 as they are closer to home , which helps in getting momma's permission for a day or two away from school, and we live just south of Alb.

Any suggestions or just a hint would be greatly appreciated.

JD, try unit 36 excellent dates and and tons of forky's best of all three weekends in a row to hunt, and she won't have to miss school at all.
