Here's a good Idaho buck from a month ago. My rough score has him somewhere around 195 gross. The score really is not that important to me as he is a really beautiful buck and my 15 year old boy was there with me to share the hunt. We both put in together on a controlled hunt and had a great time. His buck came a week later.

Nothing better than sharing a great hunt with the people closest to you. Congratulations! Looking forward to some pics.

This is the buck he finally ended up taking. It was a tall little 4-pt with one side broken off. He was happy though.

whats with the shoes you better not have shot that from the truck that is a great idaho buck, congrats

Nope, didn't shoot him from the truck but I did spot him while driving. I was coming back into my hunting area after picking up my son from school when we saw this buck out in the sagebrush flats. He ran off and we ended up stalking him for about a mile or so before the shot. You're right, I wish I would have had my boots on, it would have made for lots easier walking, but when you see a buck like that you don't stop to put your boots on.
