Got this picture in a text message forward. Text said Justin DeCaro's 2011 DIY/General Season Muzzleloader Buck 200 6/8"

Hope I don't ruffle any feathers for posting it, but figured I would share it here. What a giant buck!

LAST EDITED ON Oct-14-11 AT 07:58PM (MST)[p]Nice buck.200"???? In what parallel dimension does that buck come close to 200"?He would have to stretch those arms out another 3 feet to even make him look like a 200" buck.

dang close to 200" 12/14" forks, really good mass, 24/25" wide, few inches of eye guard and a little cheater. These kind will fool you when you cable them up.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-14-11 AT 09:54PM (MST)[p]Stretching your arms is only going to make him wider. All about the tine
length! No doubt about this one.

I'm with monarch. That buck grosses over 200 all day long. I killed a similar framed buck last year that grossed just over 186 and this buck is just plan bigger. Width is only one measurement. Tine length is key.

"That's a special feeling, Lloyd"

Ive got about 6 different bucks Id like to get you guys to score so I can get them in the book...

so what does he score Mtsheds? seems how you know it all! If you can't see this buck is pushing 200 you need to open your eyes and put your coke bottle glasses on!

Hey guys,

I'm Justin DeCaro. I was fortunate enough to take this buck on the 4th day of the general muzzleloader season in southeast Utah. Truly a once in a lifetime deer, for me anyway. It was a DIY/public land buck.

My wife and I had been after him since the archery hunt, but could never seal the deal. But, it finally came together on the muzzleloader hunt. We put a ton of time and effort into this buck.

I had him green scored by an official B&C/P&Y scorer, and he tapes out at 200 6/8" I know pictures can be deceiving, at least for me anyway (I'm 6'1, 205lbs). To give you an idea of his size, he's 26" wide, 25" tall, and has just shy of 38" of mass. Look for the story in an upcoming magazine.

Thanks to most everyone for the positive comments.

Justin

Can I get the name of this official scorer so I can get him to score some racks?

Justin, Congrats on an amazing animal, its almost better after spending a month than taking him on opening morning. With that being said, post some more pics, I would love to see some more angles of that bad boy, as well as it hopefully shuts up you know who...

Congrats again...

LAST EDITED ON Oct-15-11 AT 03:35PM (MST)[p]Wow what an absolute monster!!!! Easily a 200 inch buck. Don't listen to the Idiots/Idiot that thinks he can score a buck by taking one quick look at him from the front. That thing is a toad, and to do it with a general season tag is awesome. Man those main beams are long, and the tine length is awesome.

Hey Shedhedz I know what your score problem is, you can't hold your tape measure up to the computer screen and get accurate measurements, doesnt a 15" score seem too small for that buck, you must be one of those "how wide is your buck" rather than what does he score, width has very little to do with score, if you want your bucks to hit the books you better just shoot bigger deer! If you saw this buck and passed cause he doesn't look 200 your undereducated

that deer has some of the best fronts iv'e seen. no doubt 200!

mnnn. . . rocky mountain oysters!

that is a hell of a buck. congrats.

mtshedhedz.....you sir, are an absolute retard. but please continue to post. i think we all get some enjoyment, from time to time, reading idiotic statements from people like you.

Back when 30 inch bucks were the magical mark for trophy hunters, bucks like this, were getting passed up. Truth is, this buck will out score most wide bucks due to shear tine length. Those G3's have to be knocking on 14 inches. Easily 200.

can we get D13er to sore/piss one more hunter off?
