Hunters, would the 290 grain Barnes TEZ bullet be legal for hunting purposes in the state of Colorado? Is the TEZ a conical? Would it shoot well in a CVA Accura V2 rifle with BlackHorn powder? Any advice or comments would be welcomed. Cow Tag

The TEZ is not a conical. It is designed for use with a sabot which they come with. Diameter of the bullet itself is around .451-ish.

They do shoot really well in the Accuras with BH209 though FYI.

How about the new Hornady FPB bullet. Its a 300 grain conical .50 caliber, no sabot needed. Two of us killed muleys last season with the 290 gr Barnes. Good accuracy and terminal performance with 100 grains blackthorn. But...I'm gonna try some of the new Hornadys, just for fun.

Try out the new Federal all-in-one bullet. It should qualify as a conical according to the claims on their packaing (I'd confirm) and I've seen them in WallyWorld already here in podunk NM.
