Been considering heading up North to hunt whitetail. I have never really been up there, other then to Sandpoint to pick up daughter from Amtrak. I have been looking at unit 10A. Anyone have any experience with that unit and can give me some pointers??
Would be greatly appreciated

10a is pretty crowded. I would go north of sandpoint in 1.

10A is definitely a very crowded unit. There are better units farther north. Some with a lot less private property.

I hunt 10a for elk. Not very crowded for whitetail. Mostly state, federal, and potlatch ground. Low population thanks to predators. Lots of clearcuts. If you put in your time, you can get a decent buck, but are a bit hard to come by.

For late season whitetail, try 6. If you put the work in you will not be disapointed.
